We aim to enhance Europe’s digital independence by creating a trusted data ecosystem that supports innovation, competitiveness, and the responsible use of data. By doing so, it ensures that European businesses and individuals retain control over their digital assets.

HOW

The association promotes an open-source collaboration to build a resilient and decentralised set of Digital Clearing Houses and a verification framework to ensure trust and interoperability in data exchanges using a combination of open standards.

WHO

The association brings together a diverse group of stakeholders, including companies, governments, and research institutions from Europe and beyond. This collaboration is crucial for shaping specifications, rules, policies and a verification framework accessible to everyone.

WHEN

Already live through an interoperable network of Gaia-X Digital Clearing Houses, the initiative is in an accelerating phase of growth, attracting more and more projects to integrate Gaia-X concepts.
