The Gaia-X magazine is a quarterly journal publishing the finest research in the data space ecosystem following our collaboration with our members, management board, board of directors and external researchers. The magazine presents original work characterised by multifaceted articles of interdisciplinary interest, timeliness, accessibility, elegance, and surprising conclusions, aiming to provide rapid, authoritative, insightful, and arresting news and interpretation of topical and coming trends affecting our data space ecosystem.

Please note that all articles should bear the authors’ names, surnames, and organisations.

The intention of the magazine is to engage our community, but equally bring new voices to address and discuss the status, progress and significant advances in our delivery, lighthouses, hubs work. It equally presents an open forum for the reporting and discussion of news and issues concerning Gaia-X and esnure that the results are correctly and rapidly disseminated to the public throughout the world, in a fashion that conveys their significance for knowledge, science, research, culture, and daily life.

    Types

    You can submit the following types of articles; News Article, Opinionated Piece, Policy or Governance take, Motivational speech, Tech angle, Interview, Funny story, Member or Hub Story, Thought pieces, Best practice articles, Case studies, New approaches, Technologies and techniques, Research reports, Legal and regulatory updates, and other contributions written by practitioners.

    Thematic topics

    • Gaia-X business stories to explain the value/need/impact/etc.
    • The lighthouse project impact and reflection
    • What’s in it for me – personal or professional testimonial talking about the benefits surrounding membership
    • Country stories from Hubs or Members to deliver an international flair
    • Gaia-X explained in top dummy steps
    • The Geeks Corner showing the technical perspective
    • Gaia-X opportunities – important funding calls and engagement of consortia
    • The policy and regulation corner discussing EU institutional directives, including their business impact and implications
    • Humorous stories, aligned with graphics and animation

Types

Article submissions accepted are as follows:

News Articles, Opinionated Pieces, Policies or Governance takes, Motivational speeches, Tech angles, Interviews, Funny stories, Members or Hub Stories, Thought pieces, Best practice articles, Case studies, New approaches, Technical perspectives, Research reports, Legal and regulatory updates, and other contributions written by experts and practitioners.

Thematic topics

  • Gaia-X business stories to explain the value/need/impact/etc.
  • The lighthouse project impact and reflection
  • New ideas for lighthouse projects
  • What’s in it for me – personal or professional testimonials talking about the benefits surrounding membership
  • Country stories from Hubs or Members to deliver an international flair
  • Gaia-X explained in dummy steps
  • The Geeks Corner showing the latest technical elements
  • Gaia-X opportunities – important funding calls and engagement of consortia

Number of words

2000 (minimum) – 8000 (maximum)

Abstracts

Authors would need to include and abstract of 1 paragraph with their overall article.

Photos

Author photos should be submitted in high resolution and separately in the authors’ email attachment.

Bios

Authors would need to submit a bio of 1.5 paragraph, discussing their years of professional experience, expertise, and educational experience. They should be part of their articles.

Graphics & Photos

All graphics, including tables, figures, and photos should be in high resolution and included both in the articles and separately in the author’s email attachment.

No promotional items will be accepted.

Article Submission deadline

The 2nd call for articles is already open, with articles being submitted between early July to 31 December 2022. Extensions will be granted on a case-by-case basis.
