The Gaia-X Summit 2026 marks the next chapter of Gaia-X’s journey, moving from building the foundations of trusted data ecosystems toward large-scale market adoption and tangible economic value.

How can we build a digital future where data can be shared with trust, AI can be used with confidence, and organisations can innovate together across ecosystems?
The Gaia-X Summit 2026 marks the transition into Season 2.0: Sovereign, Trusted AI & Data Ecosystems, with a focus on accelerating market adoption and delivering tangible economic value.
Priorities include establishing economically sustainable operations for data spaces, promoting the uptake of existing technologies, and enabling the provision of trustworthy data for trustworthy AI applications.
A strong emphasis is also placed on simplifying participation for SMEs and advancing cross-data-space interoperability to reduce fragmentation and strengthen Europe’s strategic data autonomy. Standardisation efforts will continue in close collaboration with European and international bodies.
As a result, Gaia-X is moving towards a future where trust is automated, sovereignty is actionable, and Europe’s digital future is built on shared, secure, and transparent foundations.
