Under his lead, the Spanish National Data Office closely followed the innovative developments around European cloud and data, and with that assembled an architectural and governance model for the deployment of data spaces in Spain. Nationally, they also coordinated several WGs across Spanish ministries, federal agencies and industrial stakeholders, as well as promoted a series of normalisation standards for data management and governance. Member Relations Officer, Gaia-X Iker is the Members Relations Officer in the Financial Department of Gaia-X. He holds professional experience as a sales manager in the Banking sector, apart from working in different Investments Funds and in International Associations. Throughout the years, Iker’s professional day-to-day has been entirely related to what he is most passionate about, people and finance. Outside of Gaia-X, he likes doing sports, dancing and cooking. He speaks Spanish, Basque, and English. He also has intermediate knowledge of French and Portuguese. CFO, Gaia-X Alberto leads the Financial, Legal and HR departments for Gaia-X. He holds a Master’s Degree in International and Diplomatic Sciences from Bologna University and a Master’s in European Law and Economics from Sorbonne University. He has been working as a Project Manager in the social economy sector, also responsible for corporate, legal and financial matters. During his years as a Legal Officer and Public Procurement Correspondent at the European Commission, he acquired an extensive experience in all legal and financial aspects of EC-funded projects and public procurements. As Financial Director at the European Organisation for Security (EOS), he led the company’s financial department, the EU Project Management Team and the HR department. During his career, he has also supported the creation of several AISBLs in Brussels. He speaks English, French, Italian, and Spanish. CTO, Think-it Ramy H’cini is a Lead Software Development Engineer at Think.iT, a tech talent collective. Ramy has experience working as a Research Assistant at Technische Universität Darmstadt, focusing on implementing Gym AI based environments and deep reinforcement learning algorithms. Additionally, Ramy has worked as a Web Developer and Freelance IT Consultant, specializing in developing web applications and providing customized features for various ministries. Ramy has also served as a Computer Science Trainer and Research Assistant, where Ramy contributed to projects involving traffic shaping and Linux From Scratch. CTO, TeraLab Experienced, organised and creative technical director with a PhD and degrees in computer engineering and innovation management. Keen to apply his 15 years of experience in the innovation ecosystem, his expertise and versatility to drive performance and growth. PhD, Vice President of Technology and Research, Dawex – Data Exchange Technology Frédéric Bellaiche is a PhD and Vice President of Technology and Research at Dawex. He is responsible for the strategic development and integration of most advanced technologies within the Dawex organization and product architecture. Prior to joining Dawex, Frédéric served for 14 years as Technical Expert for a leading digital services company where he led innovation in the areas of Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Edge Computing, Blockchain, Security and Quantum Computing. Prior to that, Frédéric also served as CTO and co-founder of a start-up specialized in securing financial flows for 7 years. During his career, Frédéric has conducted research at Brookhaven National Laboratory in the field of high energy physics, at CERN and at the Université Claude Bernard. Holding a PhD. in particle physics and a DEA in nuclear and particle physics, Frédéric is a member of the Blockchain working group at Numeum and contributes to the OWASP project. CDO, InferIA Full professor at University of Alicante (Spain) and Principal Investigator of Smart Tourism Lab of University of Alicante in Torrevieja. Research interests: open data, data spaces, smart tourism destinations, business intelligence and big data. Proud co-founder of InferIA, a spin-off of the University of Alicante dedicated to data search and discovery. CEO, the Nordic Institute for Interoperability Solutions (NIIS) Ville Sirviö leads the Nordic Institute for Interoperability Solutions (NIIS), overseeing the development of the X-Road® open-source software, which has hundreds of millions of end users worldwide. He has also contributed his expertise as a board member of the Gaia-X European Association for Data and Cloud, as a DPI Safeguards Working Group Chair for the Office of the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Technology, and as an Advisory Board Member for DPI as a packaged Solution (DaaS) at the Centre for Digital Public Infrastructure. With a diverse background ranging from startups to listed companies, Sirviö brings a wealth of experience in digital transformation.
