Why is Europe investing €3.3 billion in Data Space Infrastructure? We are paying rising prices to big tech companies for digital infrastructure, but we are increasingly vulnerable to vendor lock-in, privacy breaches, and cybercrime.

A Data Space consists of privacy-enhancing technologies and common standards, which give individuals, organisations, and municipalities control of their data and the ability to share data and digital infrastructure securely
Data Spaces are already being piloted in the EU and coming to Norway as early as 2025. A Nordic Digital Innovation Ecosystem is being formed to participate in Data Space projects in critical sectors in collaboration with Digdir, KS, IFE, SINTEF, NR, NTNU, BI, RISE, Fiware, Gaia-X, and several other public and private sector partners in the network.
