Job Description:
We are looking for a “Data & Cloud Business Analyst (m/w/x)” playing the role of bridging business and technology. The role will be responsible for understanding, interpreting, and detecting patterns in business models around data, cloud & AI, and to also generate insights to enhance the business focus of the Gaia-X strategy.
Inspiration should be taken from the Gaia-X ecosystem (in an extended view, also from the data spaces and AI contexts). This Analyst will support the CSO Team in understanding elements across the economics of data-sharing, with focus on: (i) technological and business trends in the data& cloud & AI market, (ii) digital ecosystems’ governance models.
This requires both business acumen (solid understanding of business principles) as well as experience with concrete business methodologies (e.g. Business Model Canvas or Value Chain Analysis), alongside a technical IT background.
Reporting:
- This is a role within the Chief Strategy Office (CSO).
Location:
- Onsite and/or remote, as well as presence in Brussels HQ occasionally.
Role & Responsibilities:
- The role will be responsible for co-creating (alongside the membership base and staff from the Gaia-X AISBL) and subsequently implementing a market intelligence strategy, including an analysis methodology that allows to gather, analyse and evolve (1) business and governance models within the Gaia-X ecosystem, and (2) technological trends in the data, cloud & AI market (and its use across organisations);
- Identifying and analysing the technologies employed by these trends, and the standards underpinning them;
- Understanding the Gaia-X ecosystem of projects from an innovation and technological perspective, including analysing and prescribing a unique value proposition arising from employing the Gaia-X Framework.
- Understanding the projects in terms of the developmental and financial factors involved.
Requirements:
- You have ideally at least a minimum of 3 years’ experience in implementing business modelling tasks/projects, and 2 years‘ experience in SW development or coding.
- Consulting background in an international business or non-profit technology environment.
- You have excellent analysis skills and can understand business & technology-driven strategies based on data and cloud innovation.
- Stakeholder and Relationship Management are core skills, supporting know-how to coordinate complex analysis, cross-project processes and communication.
- A good grasp of data analysis and experience with visualisation tools are a valuable plus.
