| Gaia-X calls NGOs to work together to support the Ukrainian people |
| Gaia-X is calling NGOs and corporates to work together to help the people of Ukraine displaced due to war. Thousands of people, including children, are facing dire circumstances. In the last couple of weeks, we are glued to our TV screens seeing people being displaced from their homes, without food or a home to stay. Gaia-X will be working with its members and NGOs to act and provide for immediate essential supplies.

| Out of 331 Gaia-X Association’s members, 54 participated in the 🗳️ survey. More than 70% fully supported the document.
Detailed feedback was provided on five major areas being analysed by the WG Labels & Qualification under the Lead of Martine Gouriet:
- Data protection
- European Control
- Transparency
- IT Security
- Portability
Close collaboration and exchange of the Label Framework survey results accomplished in cooperation with the WG Policy and Rules Document. Direct interaction yields an integrated framework of rules and labels.

How will it work?
🗳️ Candidacy and timing:
✅ Election modalities:
- Election takes place in the second Group meeting
- Voting happens electronically with the app ‘Poll’ via DCP or through live voting
- Voters: One person per member organisation can vote once
- Several candidates:
- the AoA ruling applies – the candidate with the most votes wins
- In case of an identical number of votes, a second voting among the two candidates is executed

| Gaia-X Lab – 🗓️ 20 April 2022 |
| Gaia-X Lab has been recently launched; it is a team of ⌨️ developers working under the umbrella of the CTO Office.
The Gaia-X Lab will trigger a continuous feedback cycle that will prototype, validate and kick-start open-source software projects to develop the core elements and the necessary components that will qualify for Gaia-X compliant services.
