By working on the Gaia-X Framework, which includes technical and functional specifications and software components, our goal is to provide Gaia-X members with additional opportunity to submit their requirements towards GX framework by using a Jira-based platform. – https://gaia-x.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals
What is crucial for us, in order to respond and meet the defined requirements, we have created a new sprint process that allows us to address the requirements in an appropriate way.
Sprint is defined as a short, time-boxed period when a team works to complete a set amount of work. Agile refers to methodologies centred around the idea of iterative development, where requirements and solutions evolve through collaboration between self-organizing cross-functional teams. This seems to be a perfect fit for the Gaia-X Community and cross-sectoral projects.
What is the value of sprints?
- Our goal is to be more agile, we want to work in an iterative way with short feedback loop to ensure that the defined requirements have been taken into consideration.
- Based on our experience, complex requirements require the involvement of experts from different working groups and different areas, so the goal is to build sprint teams that will combine knowledge and experience, instead of silo thinking.
- Our goal is to create value through coordinated cooperation of many teams that complement each other and combine different perspectives and points of view.
The strength of Gaia-X is its members, so we want to involve everyone as much as possible in working together so that the Gaia-X framework fits the real needs and requirements of its members and their environment.
Nowadays, it is impossible to create solutions in closed ecosystems and in isolation from the surrounding conditions. We want to work together to make sure at every stage of creation that we are going in the right direction. Through frequent interactions, it is possible to collaborate transparently with the parties involved and correct errors quickly if they occur, contributing to better end results!
