EMPOWER-X becomes a Gaia-X Lighthouse Ecosystem

Congratulations to EMPOWER-X on becoming a Gaia-X Lighthouse Ecosystem. 

Coordinated by ZERTIFIER, EMPOWER-X builds on its previous status as a Lighthouse Project and continues its development within Gaia-X. The initiative is positioned as an energy data space supporting trusted data sharing across energy, mobility and smart community contexts, with a focus on practical deployment in real environments such as the DS4PED pilot in Rubí. 

Its approach reflects alignment with key principles of the Gaia-X framework, including data sovereignty, interoperability, transparency, controlled data access and portability of services and applications. 

EMPOWER-X brings together municipalities, industry partners and technology providers to explore real-world use cases in areas such as Positive Energy Districts, renewable energy communities, electromobility and urban energy intelligence. 

This milestone reflects the ongoing work of all partners involved and their contribution to advancing Europe’s vision of trusted, interoperable and federated data ecosystems under the Gaia-X framework.
