The Data Space for Skills (DS4Skills) brings together various actors in the education sector to create sovereign ecosystems of education and skills data in Europe. This secure and interoperable environment, where educational institutions, training providers, businesses, and government bodies can share and access data, is becoming a reality with implemented real-world solutions. The deployment of Skills Data Space is advancing, dedicated to developing a blueprint for the Education and Skills Data Space composed of use cases, business and governance models, technical architecture, and UX recommendations.

Objective

This event, organised by the Gaia-X Education and Skills Ecosystem (DASES), will highlight the role and importance of interoperability between public and private entities, essential for the future of Education and Skills Data Space.

Target Audience

The webinar will be relevant to a broad audience, including representatives from government education ministries, large public and private sector organisations, lifelong learning providers, European edtech companies, and anyone interested in the latest developments within the Education Data Space.

  • Interoperability driving the Education and Skills Data Space: Roundtable Discussion on the value of a shared standard between public and private sectors to enable common services within the Education and Skills Data Space.
  • Concrete Use Cases: Presentation of live implementations that demonstrate data sharing value and how interoperability is being achieved within the Education and Skills Data Space across Europe.
  • Opportunities with the DS4Skills-GO: An introduction to the EU strategy for Skills data space and a presentation of the different Use Cases with the call to join the project to provide data and services to the Use Cases.

      This use case aims at augmenting an LMS with the following features: identifying skill gaps in support of strategic business directions, and allowing analyses of existing skills of employees and benchmarking with their sector.

      This use case’s goals are to develop a cutting-edge digital solution that provides comprehensive job descriptions as a data source and AI services for the creation of digital twins.
    • OpenEdIAG Use case, France
      OpenEdIAG is working on the launch of an innovative service to encourage the creation of generative AI in the field of education, via an initial ‘Personalized Teacher Assistant’ use case.
    • Data space building blocks: technical components for skills & education data interoperability
