Gaia-X AISBL is pleased to welcome Universitat de Lleida as a new member of our association.
Universitat de Lleida is a public university focused on higher education, research, and social commitment. It aims to provide quality education, produce and transfer knowledge for societal progress, and promote justice, equality, and sustainability. With eight centres and 18 departments, the university serves over 10,000 students in undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs. It employs 1,250 academic staff and 500 administrative personnel.
Roberto García, Deputy Vice-Rector for Knowledge Transfer and Principal Investigator of AgrospAI remarked: “Becoming a member of Gaia-X is for us strategic. We are scaling up our data space demonstrator for the agrifood sector, AgrospAI. Gaia-X will help us integrate AgrospAI into the data spaces community, interacting with other data spaces and becoming part of that emerging data spaces ecosystem at the European level and worldwide.”
Ulrich Ahle, Gaia-X CEO said: “It’s excellent to have Universitat de Lleida become a member. As they work to scale up data spaces in the agrifood sector, we hope to assist them as they become a part of the broader data spaces ecosystem.”
