Gaia-X Community gears up for a packed two-day Hackathon and exciting tracks for Participants
21 March 2022 – Brussels, Belgium: Gaia-X, an organisation championing data sovereignty, announces their Hackathon #3 on 28 and 29 March 2022. The two-day event, with motto ‘Code Gaia-X into the Future!’ will see over 250 participants.
The event’s primary goal is to engage the Gaia-X community and deliver information for Gaia-X newcomers. The agenda is available here.
During the sessions in the 6 tracks – program here, participants will learn about the Gaia-X technical set-up and develop code. The six tracks are: newcomer and general track, Gaia-X Federation Services, Eclipse Dataspace Connector, Deployment & Minimal Viable Gaia-X, ACME as well as Service & Tool Support.

Gaia-X has lined up exciting events and activities throughout the year fully catering to different groups and sectors and is aligned with its overarching mission of establishing digital sovereignty. “Gaia-X lives from its strong community working on making its vision become reality. The Hackathon is an important event not only for pushing forward Gaia-X technologically but also to strengthen the ties within the community”, Marius Feldmann, Coordinator of Gaia-X MVG OWP and COO of Cloud&Heat Technologies, stated.
The next couple of months will see important sector specific data space events held in the Healthcare, Tourism, Mobility and Manufacturing, coupled with EU Funding events, Tech Dives, and the Summit 2022, but other product lines, such as the Gaia-X Magazine and its dedicated Podcast series.
Meanwhile, Gaia-X is at the forefront of planning, engaging, and executing various activities in cooperation across its 15 ecosystems and its active lighthouse projects throughout the year. The goal is to create a platform for industry thought leaders and other stakeholders to come together and collaborate to create a data space ecosystem in Europe.
As the Association takes the lead in this direction, it now becomes imperative to join forces with additional members, industry associations, government bodies and institutions to ensure transparency, openness, and trust – the core values of Gaia-X.
