Gaia-X on the Global Stage

Over the past few weeks, our leadership team has been actively representing Gaia-X at major international events, strengthening our global partnerships and advancing the vision of trusted, interoperable data spaces worldwide.

CEATEC 2025, Japan

First on the agenda was CEATEC 2025 in Japan with our CEO Ulrich Ahle and CSO Alberto Palomo hosting the Gaia-X booth and engaging with international stakeholders on the future of digital trust and interoperability. Ulrich Ahle took the stage with a keynote speech ‘Gaia-X Interoperable Data Spaces: Where AI Meets Trust’ showcasing how Gaia-X is building trusted and interoperable data ecosystems worldwide. It was a hugely successful event with over 98,000 visitors attending over the four-day period.

Ulrich commented, “This event showcases Gaia-X’s global expansion and dedication to creating trusted data infrastructures worldwide. Collaborating with partners like the Data Society Alliance, NTT DATA, and the University of Tokyo, we are further advancing initiatives like the Gaia-X Digital Clearing House in Japan.” The event drew strong engagement from European companies, developing further collaboration and exploring new opportunities for trusted digital ecosystems.

Symposium on Data for Public Good and Hackathon 2025, India

Next up was the Symposium on Data for Public Good and Hackathon 2025 in Bengaluru, India where Gaia-X CINO Pierre Gronlier joined experts in a panel to discuss how data spaces and interoperability can drive trusted digital ecosystems worldwide. He shared his perspective, emphasising how aligning technical and regulatory efforts can create transparent, secure, and interoperable data spaces across India, Europe, and beyond.

The Symposium is an annual event providing a platform to share best practices, showcase innovations, and build consensus around scalable, interoperable, and ethical data infrastructures that serve the public interest.

Gaia-X continues to expand its global footprint, building bridges between continents and communities to shape the digital future of tomorrow.
