We continue our Women in Tech campaign with an interview featuring Clara Pezuela, Director of Strategic Alliances and Positioning at the Instituto Tecnológico de Informática (ITI) in Valencia. She shares how strategic partnerships, trusted infrastructures, and emerging technologies—from AI to digital twins—are being leveraged to transform data into real-time, operational impact across Europe’s digital ecosystems.
Short intro
I am currently working at Instituto Tecnológico de Informática (ITI) de Valencia as Director of Strategic Alliances and Positioning. In my role, I am in charge of establishing strategic partnerships and involving ITI in the key initiatives to leverage the innovation pillars of the institution. I have more than 25 years of experience in research programs, innovation management and technology transfer in different types of organisations. My technical background is in data platforms, data spaces, cloud and edge computing, open source development and software engineering.
How are you driving impact in Europe’s digital ecosystem this year?
Together with my current organisation, we are putting the focus on transforming the data into trusted decisions in real time. We bring an holistic approach to cover all the steps in the value chain of data: from enabling the most efficient and less consuming computing and connectivity infrastructure to store and transport the data; generating the necessary trust, security and resilience during the manipulation of the data; transforming the data into decisions by the use of AI and data spaces under well established governance; and bringing these decisions into operation by the use of intelligent devices, immersive reality and digital twins, making true the convergence of virtual world with physical one. The ultimate goal is to connect, protect and activate the data to create operative value.
