European cloud providers, industry data spaces, and service partners have joined forces within the Data Space Adoption Forum to accelerate the large-scale onboarding of SMEs into trusted data networks across Europe.
As Christoph F. Strnadl, CTO Gaia-X, explains: “In order to make federation work between different ecosystems and data spaces, individual data spaces have to mutually trust each other. This collaboration paves the way for operationalizing the notion of ‘federated trust’ enabling the full automation for establishing trust not just within a single data space but also across and between distinct ecosystems — a significant lever for reducing membership compliance checking efforts, costs, and onboarding time.”
